Dark red flowers on darker red stems. 20 – 24″ tall. July – August. Part shade – full sun. Best in organically rich, moist soil. Deer resistant. Attracts butterflies. Companions: hosta, pulmonaria, heuchera, tricyrtis, ferns, carex, iris, chelone. Edger, accent, masses & drifts. Low maintenance. Zone 4.
