A.K.A Symphyotrichum oblongifolium. Violet-blue flowers. September – October. Forms a mound of bushy, aromatic foliage. 2 – 3 ‘ tall. Full sun. Drought and poor soil tolerant. Deer resistant. Attracts butterflies. Suitable for use in masses and in mixed borders. Northeastern U.S. native species. Zone 3.
