Syn. Symphyotrichum oblongifolium. Dark, sky-blue flowers. September – October. Forms a low mound of bushy, aromatic foliage. 18″ tall. Full sun. Drought and poor soil tolerant. Deer resistant. Attracts butterflies. Suitable for use as a groundcover and in mixed borders. Northeastern U.S. native species. Zone 3.
