Aster novae-angliae

Syn. Symphyotrichum novae-angliae.  Rose to purple flowers.  September – October.  3 – 5′ tall.  Full sun – light shade.  Moist soil tolerant.  Attracts butterflies.  Garden borders.  Mixes well with solidago, helianthus, boltonia, dendranthema.  Northeastern U.S. native.  Ours are Long Island native stock.  Zone 3.
