A.K.A. Symphyotrichum lateriflorum var. horizontale. Masses of small dark pink flowers and white, petal-like bracts. Blooms August – October. Unique shrub form with horizontal branches, 24″ tall. Full sun. Attracts butterflies and other beneficial insects. Deer resistant. Northeastern U.S. native species. Zone 4.
