A.K.A Symphyotrichum laeve. Violet flowers. September – October. Attractive blue-green foliage holds up well all season. 3′ tall. Full sun. Drought tolerant. Attracts butterflies, beneficial insects. Good cut flower. Not likely to require staking despite its height. Northeastern U.S. native. Ours are Long Island native. Zone 4.
