Asclepias syriaca

Fragrant, purplish-pink flowers June – July.  3 – 4′ tall.  Full sun.  Drought tolerant.  Attracts hummingbirds & butterflies including Monarchs.  Important food source for native pollinators.  Deer resistant.  Can spread aggressively.  Northeastern U.S. native.  Ours are Long Island provenance.  Zone 3.
