Aristolochia durior
A.K.A Aristolochia macrophylla. Vigorous, twining vine to 20 – 30′. Large heart-shaped leaves 4 – 10″ long form a solid screen. Unusual pipe-shaped flowers give rise to its common name. May – June. Full sun – part shade. Traditionally grown as a screen for front porches. Eastern U. S. native. Zone 4.
