Arisaema triphyllum
Three-lobed leaves on long petioles. 1′ tall. Flowers consist of a green & purple spadix (jack) inside a hooded green & purple spathe (pulpit). May – June. Light to moderate shade, organically rich, moist soil. Deer resistant. Red berries in the fall provide food for wildlife. Choice woodland perennials! NE U.S. native. Ours are Long Island provenance. Zone 4.
