Aquilegia canadensis

Red-yellow bicolor flowers May – June. 18 – 24″ tall. Light to moderate shade, well-drained soil. Cut back hard after flowering for a summer rejuvenation of foliage. Self-sows. Hummingbird & butterfly magnets. Companions: ferns, anemones, toadlilies. An old-fashioned favorite! Northeastern U.S. native. Zone 3.
