Forms low mats of grey-green leaves with silver undersides. 3 – 6″ tall. White flowers in May – June to 10″ tall. Full sun. Requires lean, dry, well-drained soil. Larval host of the American Lady butterfly. Deer resistant. Small-scale groundcover. Northeastern U.S. native. Zone 3.
