Angelica atropurpurea

Fragrant, large white tinged umbel flowers appear to float around the plant. Purple stems. June- Sept. 6-8′ tall. Full sun – part shade; moist soil. Bold statement plant. Serves as a host to the Eastern black swallowtail. Water gardens, stream/pond banks or wet meadows. NE U.S. Native. Zone 4.
