Lush green foliage. Upright, clump-forming habit. Silver seed heads August – March. 4′ tall. Full sun. Drought tolerant. Deer resistant. Orange to red fall and winter color. Sturdy and long lived. Host plant to the Common Wood Nymph. Northeastern U.S. native. Ours are Long Island native. Zone 3.
