Allium schoenoprasum
Hollow, slender leaves to 10″ tall are minced for use in cooking. Attractive pink flowers June – July to 18″ tall are also edible. Flowers dry well for use in dried flower arrangements. Full sun, well-drained soil. Self sows becoming a pleasing garden naturalizer. Leaves and flowers are high in vitamin C, folic acid and potassium. Deer resistant. Attracts hummingbirds & butterflies. Zone 3.
