Pink “nodding” flowers. July. Forms thick stands of persistent foliage – an excellent ornamental onion. 12 – 16″ tall. Full sun – light shade. Deer resistant. Attracts hummingbirds, butterflies, & beneficial insects, like syrphid flies and soldier bees. Useful throughout the garden: small-scale groundcover, garden borders, accent, rock gardens, small space filler and containers. Widely adaptable to soil conditions. Northeastern U.S. native. Zone 3.
