Fleshy sword-shaped leaves up to 16″ long. Pale yellowish-green flower stalks and flowers 4 – 5′ tall. July – August. Full sun – moderate shade; dry to average, well-drained soil. Combines well with sporobolus, schizachyrium, allium, aster, Asclepias tuberosa and echinacea. Eastern & Midwestern U.S. native. Zone 3.
