Flower color ranges from lavender to pale pink and occasionally white. Bottle brush-shaped flowers. Excellent mid to late season bloomers. July-October. 3-6′ tall. Pleasantly scented foliage. Full sun – light shade; average to dry well-drained soil. Old flower stems add nice winter interest. Excellent in combination with grasses! Deer resistant. Attracts butterflies. NE U.S. native. Zone 4.
