Smoky violet-blue flowers. Bottle brush-shaped flowers. 24 – 36″ tall. Fragrant foliage. Good mid to late season bloomer, July – frost. Full sun, drought tolerant. Requires well-drained soil. Attracts hummingbirds & butterflies. Old flower stems add nice winter interest. Excellent in combination with grasses! Deer resistant. North American native species. Zone 6.
