Large smoky violet blue flowers. Bottle brush-shaped flowers. 24 – 36″ tall. Fragrant foliage. Excellent mid to late season bloomers. Good mid to late season bloomer, July – frost. Full sun. Drought tolerant. Requires well-drained soil. Old flower stems add nice winter interest. Excellent in combination with grasses! Attracts hummingbirds & butterflies. Deer resistant. North American native species. Zone 6.
