Balloon-like blue buds open to blue five petaled stars. July – August. 8 – 10″ tall. Full sun – light shade. Late to emerge in spring, they combine perfectly with spring flowering bulbs and other spring ephemerals. Front of the border, edger, containers. Deer resistant. Long lived. Easy to grow. Zone 3.
