Graceful fountain habit. Clump forming blue-green foliage. 5 – 6′ tall in garden conditions, 3 – 4′ tall in xeric/beach conditions. Dune stabilizer grass. Airy flowers August persist through winter. Full sun, well-drained, dry soil. Tolerant of salt spray. Deer resistant. Native species of Long Island, CT, RI and MA coastlines. Zone 3.
