Helianthus divaricatus

Bright gold, daisy-like flowers.  July – September.  3 – 4′ tall.  Part shade – full sun.  Average to moist soil.  Fast spreading – give room to spread.  Attracts butterflies and seed-eating birds.  Useful in rain gardens, swales, meadows.  Northeastern U.S. native.  Zone 3.
