Tall spikes of buttery, yellow lupine-like flowers. June – July. Blue-green leaves on clump-forming plants. 3 – 5′ tall. Full sun – part sun. Average to moist, well-drained soil. Drought tolerant once established. Meadows, back of the border or cutting gardens. Attracts pollinators. Deer resistant. Eastern US native. Zone 4.
