Attractive heart-shaped green leaves. Herbaceous vine (dies back to ground each winter) with new stems arising from a tidy clump each spring. Moderate to full shade. Plant at base of a trellis, railing or other support or allow to ramble. Excellent in combination with blue hostas. NE U.S. native. Zone 4.
