Long spikes of white flowers on dark stems. May – June. Attractive foliage. Large bushy habit. 3′ tall. Full sun – light shade. Drought tolerant. Deer resistant. Attracts butterflies. Good cut flower. Excellent in mixed borders. Plant low growing groundcovers around them as a compliment. Leave seedpods standing for winter interest. Long lived. NE U.S. native. Zone 5.
