Verbascum phoeniceum ‘Violetta’

Vibrant and rich violet-purple flowers.  Long flowering period May – August.  Showy seed heads age to a reddish-black.  Dark green leaves with conspicuous veins and a hint of purple.  2 – 3′ tall.  Full sun, well-drained soil.  Attracts butterflies.  Drought tolerant.  Deer resistant.  Zone 6.
