Upright green fronds with gold fall color. 2 – 4 ‘ tall. Attractive cinnamon colored fertile fronds emerge late spring. The cinnamon colored “wool” on young leaves is used by ruby-throated hummingbirds to line their nests. Full sun to moderate shade. Grows best in organically rich, moist soils. Easy to grow. Deer resistant. Northeastern U.S. native. Zone 2.
