Dense green mats 1 – 2″ tall. Pink flowers July. Full sun, well-drained soil. Foliage turns a deep wine red in winter. Tolerates light foot traffic. Drought tolerant. Attracts butterflies. Deer resistant. Stepping stones, pathway/patio edger, small to moderate-scale groundcover. Zone 5.
