Rhus glabra

Tiny yellow-green flowers produce showy panicles of bright red berries.  Blooms in June.  Large green leaflets turn bright orange-red in fall.  9 – 15′ shrub.  Full sun to part shade.  Attracts birds and pollinators.  Deer resistant.  Drought tolerant.  Northeastern U.S. native.  The only tree or shrub native to all 48 contiguous states!  Ours are Long Island provenance. Zone 3.
