Forms a dense spreading evergreen mound.  4 – 6″ tall.  Yellow flowers July – August.  Foliage turns red in the fall which continues through winter.  Full sun, well-drained soil.  Attracts butterflies.  Edger, small-scale groundcover, rock gardens, small space filler.  Zone 6.
