Large, blue-violet flowers, May – June. 18 – 23″ tall. Full sun – light shade, well-drained soil. Moderately drought tolerant. Cut back spent blooms for extended bloom time. Attracts hummingbirds and butterflies. Deer resistant. A Piet Oudolf introduction! Combine with achillea, coreopsis, hemerocallis. Garden borders. Zone 5.
