Velvety carmine-red 6″ flowers. Free flowering May – June with repeat in September. Full sun – part shade. For best growth, mulch or plant groundcovers around base to keep roots cool. Needs support – fence, deck railing, trellis, arbor, pole, mailbox, downspout. Attracts butterflies. 10 – 12′. Zone 4.
