1″ bright yellow flowers. July – August. Pea-like seed pods follow. Mimosa-like leaves fold up when touched! 1 – 3′ tall. Full sun. Drought tolerant. Attracts pollinators, gamebirds and songbirds. Northeastern U.S. native annual of sandy soils. Will readily perpetuate from year to year by reseeding itself.
